My Extended FamilyMy family moved to Detroit, Michigan when I was four years old. I am the oldest of three children. I grew up in a Christian home so I knew who the Lord was and I learned many Bible stories from children’s lessons every Sunday. The people caring for my Christian life were always there to help me know God in a personal way. They would invite me to their houses for dinners with other children my age from the time I was in elementary school through college. What I experienced growing up meeting with the local church, was a group of people who were like family to me. No matter where they were from, if we went to visit for youth conferences, they would always open their homes to us as well as their hearts. I also appreciated the fact that there were Christians on this earth that cared enough to give their time and prayers to a rebellious 18-year-old girl laboring to bring me back to the Word and to contact with God. Witnessing many of the lives of my friends, I can testify that I am thankful to the Lord that He led my family and I to meet with the local churches. Here my relationship with the Lord has grown and is continuing to grow. I am thankful to God that He has faithful servants, such as Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, that have given themselves to opening the Word of God to many, so that … we all arrive at the oneness of the faith and of the full-knowledge of the Son of God, at a full-grown man, at the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
